Painting and Decorating safely during COVID-19

MDS has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation. We are open for business and working to the latest guidance from the Painting and Decorating Association and HM Government

1. We carry out COVID-19 risk assessments in each workplace
   Before beginning work we carry our a risk assessment in line with HSE guidance. We consult with our team and share that risk assessment with them.
2. We have new cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures
   We provide cleaning facillities like hand sanistiser and frequently clean and disinfect high touch surfaces.
3. Working from home where possible
   We can’t paint from home, but we can carry out many of our administration and communication responsibilities from home.
4. Maintaining 2m social distancing
   We have the team keep distance as much as possible. We’ll bring our own food and drink to the workplace.
5. Manage risk when social distancing not possible
   We’ll keep such activities short, use any appropriate PPE, stagger team times or work with fixed partnering systems.
